You can call me names now.........

Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the delayed post but I have been pretty busy with my naming ceremony. Dad, Thatha and Patti had come down from Madras for the function. Aruna Patti from Palghat also joined along with Aishwarya and Ashwin . My 5 Year old mama - Aaditya and 8 year old Chitthi - Rakshita were there as well -- running all over the place. Well, to make a long story short, I was lying on Appa's lap with the Vadhiyar mumbling some mumbo jumbo for an hour or so. Then Appa called me by my 3 names - Sagambari, Arundhati & Meenakshi. Pretty complex for a 2 month old huh? Anyway what's in a name?
I suggest you guys save yourselves the trouble and just call me SAM.. Sounds funky heh?
I had 3 new dresses for the function - one for each name I suppose.
Then there was a Thottil function where I was put on a cot and made to listen to some out of tune bhajans for some time. I could'nt hear much of it as my stomach was growling louder.
The caterers came in at the right time and saved the day for me. I could get back to Amma, feed and goto sleep. Boy was I bushed. Look at how I slept after the function....

Dad's Flying Visit

Hi Folks, Last week was pure fun. You know why -- Dad landed up unannounced and I had a scream of a week end playing with him. Friday evening , I was lolling around as usual when Thatha saw a whiff of yellow enter his room through the back door. He thought it was a cat but hey what do you know it was a cat all right - and a sneaky one at that --only 10 times bigger. It was dad who had pussyfooted all the way from Madras without telling a soul. Whoosh -- did we get the shock of our lives- seeing him out there in the hall with his lopsided grin.. Amma was speechless and could not get anything out other than --"Nee Irrukiye". I was happy -- I knew I could play all night without being put to sleep bang at 10:00 and sit up with Dad. I wore my new One C from Anu Athai and got photographed. Thats all for now. Hang around folks. See you

Mom and The Rest...

Hi Everyone,
I thought I would dedicate a new post exclusively to the people who take care of me day in and night out, since my routine, putting it mildly, is highly erratic. My mom-- is literally at my beck and call. I just sniffle and voila-- she is by my side in no time. Poor Mom --I am always ravenous and she has to feed me once an hour. She gives me a bath every day -- which I like, cleans me up around 48 times a day -- which I don't and puts up with my tantrums. It's not easy bringing up a kid -right Mom?
Pratima patti is special.I just love sleeping in her arms and lately in her lap. She takes over whenever I exhaust Mom to the point of no return.I have been spending time with Patti the last 3 days, exchanging gossip and the latest fashion in diapers.By the way, I am wearing Prema Patti's gift from Madras-looks cute Huh?
Well Last but definetely not the least is Vasanth Thatha. I was a bit scared of his loud voice initially but I am used to it now and know he does'nt bite.He was scared to come into my room a month ago but he comes in pretty frequently nowadays and I play with him. He calls me Junior Anand and is my official chauffer when ever I go visiting Messrs Parthasarathi and Ramani. That's all for now folks. It's time for my afternoon Nap. Ciao..

Dad scoots away and returns after a month

Hi,

Last week my Dad came to see me after a prolonged duration of a month or so. I did not feel much like talking to him (I sulked --look at the photo) but I finally gave in and played with him for some time on the last day. He came on a friday night and left on Sunday afternoon --which does'nt come anywhere close to the kind of attention I need. But he got me some nice frocks and I forgave his gross dereliction of duty. Well, Bribery starts from the Cradle I suppose. I liked one in particular the yellow one from Shanti's. In the honour of my Dad's visit, I have composed a poem that I am sure you will all like. It is titled "My Day" and goes like this...
My Day
=======
Feed and Sleep,
Sleep and Wail.
Rock and Peep,
And a Bunny's Tail.

Kick and Prod,
Prod and Twist.
Sheets all trod,
With a clenched Fist.

Diapers and Nappies,
Nappies and Ones-CS
Makes everyone go Puhhleeeeeze,
Wonder why I am not given out on Lease.

Mom and Dad,
I love them Bad.
And get them hopping,
Good and Mad.

---Arundhati

My Advent

Hi Folks,
It is a joy meeting in this forum. I cannot speak, laugh or bite yet and need to resort
to this mode of communication. I can cry though..
To make a 9 month travail short, I was formed-- a couple of cells in size sometime around July 2008 and was expected with all the paraphernalia sometime around March 25, 2009.
Innate curiosity prompted me to sneak through a month and a half earlier when Mom had a bad state of cough and dad was 450 kms away. Poor Dad..he fell all over himself to get to Coimbatore to see me the next day and had to undergo a lot of raillery from Mom for being late --"As usual" I think was the postscript.
Like I always say..I just love unexpected entrees.

Enlightenment

Well then, there I was @Ganga Hospital -- snug and secure for a couple of days when my doctor felt I had jaundice. My eyes and body turned yellow and I was'nt feeling too well.
The hacks decided I did need a bit of enlightenment and under UV Rays at that and I was transferred from my warm position next to Mom to an area they called ICU. Succinctly speaking,
my biluribin level went up and down, up and down -- not unlike the current share market and I was allowed to leave finally at the end of 10 days to Grandpa's house wiser and lighter by half a kilo.
